In December 2012 we took a trip to 65 Park Lane Sandown, home of the South African Breweries Ltd (SAB). One of the world’s largest brewers by volume with more than 200 brands and brewing interests and distribution agreements in 75 countries across six continents.

The tour of the facility was such an eye opener and we got to see the great work that goes into production of different beverages.  It was very interesting to learn how previous generations of people in Africa and Europe had their own unique ways of brewing beer.

A few individuals were brave enough to taste the local brew (Umqombothi) which has been made the using the same recipe for hundreds of years.

What we learnt on this trip was the spirit of unity and togetherness which has been celebrated by different cultures over a favourite brew.

Every 3 or 4 months, Trew Solutions has a team building event, so that all the staff can compete and work together.  We have always had a very successful and eventful time.  3 of the staff members got together and organised the Go-Karting.
